Whispr is an identity-shaping desktop app designed to help you intentionally choose what gets repeated in your awareness throughout the day.

Create short messages called Whisprs around the thoughts, goals, beliefs, habits, and behaviors you want to reinforce. Whispr then displays them subtly on your screen while you work, create, browse, and use your computer normally.

Instead of adding another routine to your day, Whispr works quietly alongside the life you're already living.

Whispr uses subtle visual repetition, but it isn't designed around messages that are completely imperceptible.

Depending on your settings, Whisprs may appear briefly or subtly enough that they don't demand your attention while you're working.

You remain in control of what appears, when it appears, and how noticeable it is.

Whispr is absolutely inspired by established research areas including attention, repetition, priming, habit formation, goal salience, and neuroplasticity.

However, Whispr is not a medical treatment, and we don't claim that simply displaying messages can guarantee a particular psychological, behavioral, financial, or health outcome.

Yes. You can organize your own Whisprs into custom packs so you can quickly switch between different areas of focus.

Yes. Whispr supports its own pack format, allowing compatible Whispr Packs to be installed and added to your library.

This also gives us the ability to release new Focus Packs without requiring an entirely new version of the application.

Whispr is designed around a local-first experience. Your personal Whisprs, packs, favorites, and settings remain on your computer rather than being routinely transmitted to Whispr.

Licensing requires a limited internet connection during initial activation, but your personal Whispr content is not part of that licensing request.

You need an internet connection for initial license activation and naturally for downloading Whispr or additional online content.

After Whispr has been successfully activated, the core application is designed to continue working offline.

There is no required monthly or annual subscription for the Whispr desktop application.

A Whispr Personal License can be activated on up to two computers.

Whispr includes a Deactivate This Computer option. Deactivating frees that activation so you can use your license on another computer.

What happens if I buy a new computer?

Deactivate Whispr on the old computer, install Whispr on the new one, and activate it using your existing license key.

Your license key is provided as part of your Whispr purchase and is on the email you receive at checkout.

Once Whispr has been successfully activated on your computer, it remembers the activation locally.

Whispr 1.0 is currently available for Mac.

The Mac version supports both:

Apple Silicon Macs — M1, M2, M3, M4 and newer Apple Silicon generations

Intel Macs

Whispr for Mac requires:

macOS 12 Monterey or later.

The Mac version of Whispr is digitally signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple for distribution outside the Mac App Store.

Windows support is coming soon.

Your Whispr license is intended to cover Whispr across supported platforms, so you won't need to purchase Whispr again simply because you later use a Windows computer.

Yes, once the Windows version is available.

Your Personal License allows two total computer activations, regardless of platform.

After purchasing Whispr:

1. Download the Whispr .dmg file from the link on the email you receive right after purchase.
2. Open the downloaded DMG.
3. Install/copy Whispr into your Applications folder.
4. Open Whispr.
5. Enter your license key from the same email.
6. Click Activate Whispr.

You're ready to go.

Whispr isn't a magic button, and there isn't a universal timeline.

Its purpose is to prime your subconscious, by repeatedly seeing certain images and messages, they become more familiar. 

How you respond to that repetition—and what actions you take as a result—will vary from person to person.
